Perhaps the biggest idea in man's search of happiness is the concept of liberation. Human beings always struggle for their existence like all other conscious beings. However, while the lower beings always struggle more or less blindly without any conscious plan and purpose and motivated by instinct, whereas man uses the superior gift of his intellect to understand the conditions and meaning of the struggle and the device plans and instruments to ensure success in his life. He wishes to lead his life in the light of his knowledge of himself and the world. The end of the life is within the life. The soul of man is free from worldly sufferings. It is through the non-discrimination between the soul and the body or ego that the sufferings and turmoil affecting the ego are wrongly supposed to have affected the soul.
