In recent times, the empowerment of women has emerged as an important issue in our society. Females that constitute little less than half of the total population (48.47% in case of India and 46.8% in case of Jammu and Kashmir as per census 2011) play a vital role in socio-economic functioning of society. Education plays an important role in the empowerment of women.
