These channels consist of nodes and routes connecting these nodes. On the efficiency and fluency of linkages between the places the advancement of a region depends upon. The present paper is an humble submission to explore the existing linkage system , evaluate areal accessibility, measure nodal accessibility with reference to Puncha Block of Purulia District, one of the backward Districts of West Bengal. The Study found Puncha and Kenda as high accessible zones. Most of the pockets of the Block represents a very disappointing figure in respect of accessibility measures. The areal network found to be branching. The existing tree sort of network should be enhanced into a circuitary network implying maximum connections.
