| Morphometric analysis has been carried out to determine the drainage basins Characteristic. In the present study the Venna river basin which is tributaries of the Krishna River are used for morphometric analysis by using Geographic Information System (GIS). An evaluation of morphometric characteristics of a drainage basin requires preparation ofStream Frequency, Drainage Density, Elongation Ratio, Circularity Ratio, Form Factor, Drainage Pattern, Relief Ratio, Relative Relief etc.which helps to understand the nature of drainage basin. A GIS technique is one of the most powerful tools for the analysis of morphometry. |
