Abstract :
Lacking environmental conservation in the field, with a sustainable agriculture, coupled with the socio-economic growth, the Federal government has proposed in 2010 the Low Carbon Agriculture Program (ABC). The aim of that program is to offer a series of loans to agriculturists, and thus encourage them to adopt a more sustainable production. This practice will reduce significantly the emission of gases causing the greenhouse effect and helps in fulfilling Brazil´s goal, take on by its with the United Nations´ (UN) to 2020, on Climate Change (COP15).
