It is a bibliographic research in technical books and scientific articles pub-lished and made available in magazine circulation online indexed over the past 10 years as Bireme, Scielo, Medline, Portal Capes. Using together the terms: "helmet", "prevention", "head trauma". With the result of this work, it was possible to conclude that the motorcyclists and motorcycle couriers are a professional category with great vulnerability with respect to traffic accidents, as it is activity that most of the times requires a fast scroll. Their behaviors are defined from a culture common misconception that the use of mandatory equipment on roads, it is only to avoid the traffic fines.
