Within the framework of the Project Live Fish: sustainability of small-scale fishing in Rondonia (UNIR /MPA/FEPEARO ), the research used the quanti-qualitative approach, with the support of the research participatory action and analysis of indicators, using: semi-structured interviews, participatory workshops and indicantes in view of the dimensions of sustainability. The results point out the problems and conflicts in the fishing, the colonies and the fishermen, fish production 878.6 in 2012 more than 230 tons and generated more than R$ 3 million, in 2013 showed a drop of 20% had a negative influence on the economy of the region. We identified still demands regarding the sustainable management of fisheries resources, the main strategy of resistance of fishermen to face the developmental projects, with emphasis on the predatory tourism, advancement of hydro and the monocultures of soybean and livestock that has promoted the unsustainability Amazon.
