Methods: The sample consisted of 590 school children of both sexes, with ages ranging from 11 to 17 years, composing the totality of Elementary and High School students of a Public school. The subjects were submitted to an anthropometric assessment, classified according to the BMI-for-age and a questionnaire on lifestyle that ranked as the level of physical activity. The Student's t-test was used to check the possible differences between the genders. For analysis of the relationship between the dependent variables, Pearson's correlation test was used. | | Keywords : | | |
