After the brutal gang rape of a para medical student in Delhi, many rape cases have been filed in police station. It does not mean that such brutal crimes are causing more crimes but now women are less afraid to come out in open and boldly file a case against the predator. Incidents of rape and other forms of violence against women have created lots of furor and anguish, and rightly so amongst middle class throughout the country. According to the National Crime Records Bureau 24,923 rape cases were reported across India in 2012, but experts agree that the number of unreported cases of sexual assault brings the total much higher. | Keywords : | | - psychologists and critics
