| Status of an Individual is dependent upon the education and employment. It signifies an overall position of a person in a society by virtue of which the person has certain rights and obligations and enjoys certain privileges. The issues related to status of Muslims are now being strongly discussed at national and international levels. After the submission of the Sachar Committee Report, several studies have undertaken data-based analysis of the socioeconomic and educational conditions of Muslims in India.
