Though women empowerment has attracted the attention of policy makers, Academicians and social reforms since the drawn of independence of India. But concern of women had a low profile, since 1980 the Govt of India started to direct its efforts towards main streaming of women. Even in the present condition the status of women is not that appreciable. Therefore all-out efforts needs to be triggered by the Govt mechanism to achieve all that is desirable to improve its socio-economic status of women in this backdrop present paper aims to evaluate the input of STEP programmes on women empowerment in rural area through co-operative dairying.
