Abstract :
Development of scientific attitude is the core matter and is the need of the hour along with gaining of knowledge. Science has uplifted our lives and society. It has transformed health, communication, transportation and power. The aim of science education is not merely to acquire knowledge but emphasise on developing scientific attitude and training in scientific method etc. Such attitude should be developed which is characterised by willingness to reach the truth and help in understanding, analysing and solving the problems scientifically. Scientific attitude is type of attitude where science becomes a base for attitude development. The aim of the investigator is to find out the impact of locality, sex and socio economic status of senior secondary students on their scientific attitude. A sample of 200 students was selected. A self prepared scale was used to collect the data. Statistical techniques like mean, percentage and three way analysis of variance (ANOVA) were applied for analysis and interpretation of the data.
